Fans of acoustic music are in for a treat over the next couple of weeks.
On Sunday, The Red House at Nether Broughton presents Strummer Sunday, an afternoon of acoustic music set in the pub's beautiful garden.

Headlining are Irish quartet Govannen, following sets by Bob Tibbetts, Dave Kirk, Small Bear and Gren Bartley.
The event runs from 2pm until 8pm and entry is £5 for adults and free for under 16s.

Then on Saturday, August 30, The Kirby Twins Acoustic Club opens its doors again at Kirby Bellars Village Hall for another of its bi-monthly gigs.

Featuring are Nottingham-based Andy Whittle and Gren Bartley with headliner Sam Carter returning from London where he is enjoying critical acclaim for his guitar playing and songwriting.
