Letter: 'Vandalism' - 12/11/09
AS a resident of Croxton Kerrial for many a year, I've never seen such mindless destruction of a area around our village land- mark/icon, The Waterspout.
It wasn't by children either , but by a farmer.
Obviously not really thinking that at this time of year that grass verges become wet and boggy, he drove his tractor and a large tanker on to the verge around the Waterspout, leaving deep muddy craters on what was a well kept verge.
I hope Croxton Kerrial Parish Council will pursue this matter and ask the farmer to reinstate the grass verge.
