Who will breathe new life into old premises?

A FORMER pub and restaurant in Melton town centre have gone on the market.

The former Rutland Arms in King Street is being marketed by estate agent’s Bentons, priced at £200,000, as a three storey mixed development of ground floor offices and six two bedroom apartments.

Planning consent has been granted to demolish the existing building and erect the block of flats with office space below.

All six apartments would offer two bedrooms and an open plan living and dining room area.

The building has been on the market since September and has already received considerable interest.

The former English Bistro in Leicester Street is also being marketed by Bentons, priced at £79,950, as a shop or office.

It has undergone a sympathetic refurbishment in accordance with heritage guidelines.
