OPEN AIR CAROLS
AND NATIVITY

A NEW event this year in the town’s Christmas calendar is an enchanting open air nativity and advent parade on Saturday.

The event, organised by Ruth Wakeling who also runs the Victorian Christmas Fayre, will start in Market Place from 6pm.

It will begin with the unveiling of a straw nativity scene, which has been created by Melton’s Churches Together, complete with a real donkey called Max from South Croxton.

The event will also include a festive parade led by children from St Francis Primary School, which will start at Argos and make its way to the Market Place for 6.20pm.

A service will then follow, which will include Christmas carols, handbells, a Christmas reading and blessing by Rev Kevin Ashby and the Christmas story read by St Mary’s Church Sunday School.
