YOUNGSTERS at The Grove Primary School are benefiting from a creative and engaging outdoor learning space, which has been painted and built for them by Barclays Bank.
Barclays donated £500 for the project after the school applied for a grant and even supplied six members of staff from the Melton branch to help carry out the work on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The fenced off educational space, for Reception and Year 1 pupils, includes a nature area, creative dressing up and role play area, construction area, as well as wooden overhead canopies to ensure the school can use the space in all weathers.
The wood for the project was donated by Denman’s builders and Castle Carpets in Sherrard Street also donated carpet so that pupils can enjoy story time in the outdoors.
Sophie Gent, nursery nurse at the Grove, said: “The space will offer a different hands-on and creative learning experience for children.”
