Funding and awards for good community projects

A SPECIAL awards event to honour community projects in Tywford which are making a positive difference to village life is to be held this month.

The event, on Saturday, November 17, has been organised by the Twyford Jubilee Celebrations Committee. It came up with the idea of holding the do after asking Twyford and Thorpe Satchville Parish Council how it should spend funds raised over the Jubilee period in June.

Four special awards will be handed out to Twyford projects as well as funds to support the growth of these projects. Smaller awards will also be handed out to individuals and other deserving projects in the area.

The projects include:- Twyford Recreation Ground, Thorpe Satchville Village Hall and St Michael Church in Thorpe Satchville.
