Long Clawson Dairy scoops up eleven awards at international cheese show

LONG Clawson Dairy scooped a total of 11 trophies at the International Cheese Awards.

The dairy’s blue Stilton saw off thousands of competitors to be crowned the Reserve Champion UK as well as Reserve Supreme Champion.

The International Cheese Awards, which took place at the Nantwich Show in Cheshire, are highly recognised in the cheese industry.

This year’s event saw 300 different categories in total, with competitors from 26 countries.

But despite competition, Long Clawson Dairy still managed to snap up gold awards for its mature Stilton, Blue Shropshire and Leicestershire Red.

In addition they also received four silver awards and a bronze.

Janice Breedon, marketing manager at Long Clawson Dairy, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won.”
