The Sunday quiz nights at the Cutting Rooms in St Mary's Way, Melton, have raised an incredible £1,500 in just two months for our appeal.
Supervisor Lauren Bateman said: "All our pubs support a charity in its area. We decided to raise money for the air ambulance because it costs such a lot to run and vastly improves your chances of survival."
Members of Melton Sequence Dance club dug deep and all donated some cash raising £200.
And Melton Phoenix Lions raised £579.50 at a chocolate demonstration evening last week. About 50 people turned up to enjoy and learn about the art of crafting fine food.
And the Melton Lions has pledged to donate one third of the money raised at its swimarathon in April.
A retiring collection at our New Year Honours event last Thursday raised £326.
Melton Building Society will have two collection boxes.
On Saturday Burton Lazars Arts and Crafts club is holding its first ever open day in the village hall and 10 per cent of all purchases will be donated to the appeal.
And on February 29, Leap Year's Day, it's 'bring a pound to work day'.
In addition about £700 has been donated by readers bringing our total collected to more than £2,000.
