TUESDAY, 8.30am: Colsterworth won the Ian Salmond Memorial Trophy for the first time after two excellent team performances.
Hosts Buckminster easily overcame Market Overton by 53 runs in the first semi-final, Simon Brown top scoring with 32, while Dave Billington made 24 in his first innings for two years.

In reply, Ben Stafford (3-8) and Chris Cole (4-22) ensured a comfortable passage into the final.

Colsterworth set up a poignant final between Ian Salmond's two former clubs after brushing aside Pickwell with eight balls to spare.

Dave Mould looked in good form for Pickwell before Colin Atter (3-12) triggered a collapse and it needed Dan Snaith's unbeaten 30 to set a respectable score.

Despite losing regular wickets, a 50-run partnership from Bob Carder and Amit Charinya, who both made 23, saw Colsterworth through.

Steve Allen (3-10) ripped out three quick wickets in the final, but Darren Smith (34 not out) and Robbie Williams (24 not out) added 54 invaluable runs in six overs.

Despite Dave Allen's 37-ball 44, Buckminster were always behind the run rate and although Jon Senescall smashed 16 not out off six balls, skipper Smith's 2-20 took the trophy to Colsterworth and clinched the player of the day award from umpires Martin Williment, Clive Atter and Tim Gadsby.
