MONDAY, 10.05am: The 2009 Salaman Cup final will be a repeat of last year's encounter after holders Barkby United booked their place.
Salaman Cup semi-final
BARKBY UNITED v EGERTON PARK
Barkby won by 120 runs
They will meet last year's beaten finalists Thorpe Arnold in the final of the Twenty20 competition at Egerton Park Cricket Club on Friday, from 6.15pm.
Egerton Park won the toss and put Barkby in to bat on a wet wicket, a decision that backfired as Ian Kirk and the prolific Doug German went after the Park attack.
They dispatched them to all corners of the ground as they easily scored at 10-an-over.
This helped Barkby to a massive total of 193-5 off of their 20 overs with German finishing on a superb 121, and making Kirk (28) and Storer (23).
The Park innings started slowly thanks to some good tight bowling from Ian Cooper and Chris Towers who finished with figures of 3-13 and 2-24 respectively from their four overs.
The innings never really got going at all after that and only M. Craig reached double figures for the hosts with a score of 28.
Barkby ran out easy winners, bowling their opposition out for just 73 in the 15th over.
